Podcast: Psychology to go with you

Welcome to our podcast series “Walk Along with Psychology”!

Are you studying in Salzburg or are you simply interested in the psychology of living together in cities, communities or groups? Then you’ve come to the right place!

We are psychology students at the University of Salzburg and will take you on six walks through our city. We created the podcast and the six episodes in the summer semester 2023 as part of our social psychology seminar.

The title says it all. Because each episode takes you on a special walk through one of Salzburg’s neighborhoods, it draws attention to the many socio-psychological phenomena that influence life in this city- because a walk is simply the best way to observe situations and people!

It’s also great to let your mind wander as you walk and then hear from us about the psychology behind it. The topics range from individuality and conformity to helping behavior and social norms.

Below you can see the six episodes we have created. In each episode description, you’ll find the appropriate walking route that you can follow while listening. Just come along for the ride! 😄

All episodes can be listened to independently of each other, so you can discover exciting new places individually or look at familiar places from a different perspective. Salzburg has a lot to offer. So, plug in your headphones and put on your shoes and off you go!
