Become part of our mentoring network and benefit from the experience and tips of your mentor in order to receive all the important information at the start of your studies!
Are you in your first semester and new to the University of Salzburg?
Then PLUSTRACK Mentoring is the right place for you. As a mentee (= mentoring participant), you will benefit from the experience of a higher semester student (= mentor) in your field of study. This can relate to university topics such as particularly great/demanding courses or printing at the university, but also to everyday topics such as leisure activities and finding a flat share. You will be matched with a mentor who will be your first point of contact. Your mentoring process consists of five individual meetings, which you can help shape with your concerns, questions and wishes.
Whether you meet for a coffee or to go hiking on the Gaisberg is up to you. Mentoring is about exchange and networking at the University of Salzburg – about connecting students from different semesters and disciplines and, above all, about arriving at university as well as possible. As well as gathering insider information, you get to meet lots of new people: As part of PLUSTRACK, we organize group events such as a city rally, a beer pong tournament, games evenings and other joint activities.
***New: Group mentoring from WS2024/25***
Dear first-year students,
from this winter semester 2024/25 we are offering PLUSTRACK group mentoring for the first time. In five joint meetings, you will grow together with your small group as well as with the other small groups. You will be accompanied in your small group by a mentor. You can then easily ask them any questions you may have during your first semester. Our highly trained mentors will help you to settle in as a student at the University of Salzburg, both personally and professionally. You can look forward to many team-building events of all kinds.
Sincerely,
your Anna
