Shaping paths together

You can probably still remember your first day at university. “Do I know anyone yet? Where do I actually have to go? What do I do after the first lecture?”
These are questions that have gone through all of our minds.

As an older student, many of these questions have already been answered.
The aim of mentoring is to make it easier for first-semester students to start their studies when such questions arise.

Mentors support first-year students (mentees) by passing on their experiences and being there for their mentee individually – and networking with others in the process

Share your experiences

Mentoring is not just about the hard facts, but also about the interpersonal aspects. Have a good time together – over coffee or at the movies perhaps? We have even recognized the most student-friendly cafés. Or at one of our group events.

Explore Salzburg together

As a senior student, you already know the corners of Salzburg quite well. But new students don’t yet.

It’s not about just showing your mentee how everything works in the department and at university. You can explore Salzburg together, get to know other students and have fun.

Becoming a Mentor

Alongside mentoring, you will complete a short training course to become a mentor, collecting a full 3 ECTS and receiving a certificate at the end – perfect for your CV.
